Governor Gary Herbert plans to meet with leaders of the outdoor industry to talk about their frustration over Utah's position on public lands.
The governor said yesterday that he wants to sit down with those who are calling for the Outdoor Retailer trade show to leave the state. Several outdoor companies plan to skip this year's trade show in Salt Lake City because state political leaders want to roll back the designation of the Bears Ears National Monument. Organizers of the Outdoor Retailer show are also calling for bids and could possibly move the show in 2018.
