The National Weather Service says to expect the most intense thundershower activity in the afternoon and evening with some of the heavier storms yesterday dumping rain at a rate of two inches per hour.  Forecasters say the most vulnerable areas to flash floods are slot canyons and areas recently burned by wildfires.  Forecasters remind you that the floods can happen downstream even if the storm has moved miles away.  Some isolated thunderstorms remain in the forecast for tomorrow before clearing out by Thursday.
