Washington County authorities are investigating a deadly accident that left a woman’s car at the bottom of a 300-foot ravine.
Investigators have not said when the woman's car went off the road or how long before it was discovered by an alert citizen. It was found yesterday morning by a passing driver who noticed a damaged road sign and pulled over to investigate. A report by the Washington County Sheriff's Office, obtained by KDXU, says the victim's dog survived the crash and was taken to a local shelter. No one else was injured. Investigators have not disclosed the woman's name pending notification of next of kin.
