State lawmakers plan to consider a resolution that would endorse federal legislation to let each state choose if they want to continue observing Daylight Saving Time.

The House Economic and Workforce Services Committee will hear the joint resolution this afternoon at 2 p.m.

The resolution would offer state support to a bill sponsored by Utah Republican Congressman Rob Bishop.

The original resolution had asked for a statewide ballot measure to let voters decide if they wanted to stop changing their clocks twice a year.
