Arizona’s Best Hotel Is AMAZING
Travelling is arguably one of my favorite things to do. Seeing new areas of the world is what life is all about, and I want to see as much of this beautiful planet as I can.
One of my favorite things about travel is staying in hotels. Every one is different, and there's a specific feeling they invoke that's almost mythical.

Building a Monument to the Desert
The history of Arizona's best hotel starts in the early 1900s, when painter Jessie Benton Evans purchased a large swath of land on Camelback Mountain, overlooking Scottsdale. Her son soon built a small home on the 12 acres he was given, to which he'd frequently invite guests over for tea, dinners, and eventually, overnight stays.
The building eventually became an inn, named the Jokake Inn by a young Hopi boy who fell in love with the design. Eventually, the area began to expand, and Arizona's perfect hotel began to take shape.

The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician
In 1985, the first ideas of the Phoenician begun to take shape. By 1996, the Canyon Suites were finished and changes started coming fast. It began to grow more and more, eventually becoming the crown jewel of the valley.
Now, The Phoenician stands unanimously as the best hotel in Arizona, and has begun gathering national accolades. In 2025, the hotel/resort was named the 33rd best resort in the United States, just below Oceana Santa Monica and the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.
Not a shabby spot to be.
