What do you want to be when you grow up?

It gets your wheels spinnin' doesn't it? I thought about it for a long time. I just kept thinking about all the things I want to do, not how I would be something different. I would take my family on vacations all over the world. So what would I need to do to be able to do that? Make more money. A lot more. The other thing I kept thinking about is what kind of older person I want to be. I am a lot like Cat Country 107.3 & 94.9 listener, Danny Gray who wants to be the "Get off my lawn" guy.

I probably need a corner house so I can become the crazy cat lady that sits on her porch with her cane and makes sure the kids don't cut the corner of her grass.

Chantelle Murdock sided with me on making some money. She wants to be RICH to be exact.

When we asked our Southern Utah listeners, what they would be when they grow up, we got a lot of answers that I was a little shocked were the real majority. A TON of the answers have to do with performing, entertaining and the arts.

For some reason I thought there would be more super heroes or CEO billionaires. We had everything from a sculptor to street performer. Kelly G Campbell is just wanting to enhance the skills he already has. Heck yes! Get paid to do what you love? Everybody's dream.

Several people said they would love to sing as their profession. We just all wish there was an in between. We don't necessarily need to be filthy rich, but having every venue, event and restaurant think that you should just come perform for "exposure"  can't happen. Your passion and hobby just can't continue to cost you that much in money and time. So If you are someone in charge of getting performers for any event, please be overly sensitive to peoples time and what exactly you are asking them to do for cheap or free.

And the single most popular answer was.....why do we HAVE to grow up???

Well, you don't have to. you can do whatever YOU want to do. It's your life. Just do what makes you happy. And if you aren't doing that right now, GO GET IT!
