Brats always stand out as a fav at my house. My family likes them and I am always trying to pair them with something healthy. This recipe is a favorite because it combines several delicious items my family loves.

Brats and Garlic Butter Lemon Pepper Broccoli

We opted for an apple chicken brat this time because that is what we had the most of in the freezer. We have a gluten intolerant and a carb conscious eater so we used almond flour tortillas for our brats and added a little mayo, mustard and homemade sauerkraut. YUM!

Ingredients:

Brats of choice
Bun of choice (or none at all)
Condiments of choice- We LOVE mustard and sauerkraut at our house
6 cups of Boiled or steamed broccoli
1/2 stick Butter
1 tablespoon Olive oil
1 teaspoon of granulated garlic
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons cracked black pepper

The broccoli is to die for. After you steam or boil and strain the broccoli, let set for a few mins and then strain the additional water off. Quickly add the butter and oil so it melts up real nice. Add the lemon juice, granulated garlic and black pepper and turn over carefully do you don't demolish the broccoli.

I added some homemade fruit juice mixed with some kombucha, herbal tea, and we totally enjoyed a flavorful pretty well rounded meal. Tell me what changes you made and if you loved it! aaronee@townsquaremedia.com

Enjoy!

I love pizza. I love making homemade pizza too. This recipe is easy and right up my alley. I have seen several people on Tik Tok talk about making pizza and pizza crust, with chicken. It sounds weird but I finally watched one of the videos and decided it looked amazing!

You start with canned chicken. Because is it very moist, it makes the process of making it into crust extremely easy. Like with most crusts that don't have flour, it has more cheese that other pizza's witch is totally fine by me. YUM!

I decided to make mine BBQ Chicken style. Here is the really easy recipe:

Crust:
I 12.5 oz. can of chicken drained
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
I egg
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
Mix together, pat out to make a crust and bake on a cookie sheet at 425 degrees for 15 mins or until the edges are brown.
Let cool.

Toppings:
1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce spread on top of the pizza
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese sprinkled on top
2 slices of cooked and shopped bacon
A few slices of red onion
Pop it back into the oven for 5 more mins or until all cheese is melted and browning
Enjoy!

This is packed with protein and low carb. It is an easy dish to have you kids help with. They love it, plus it's delicious. Enjoy!
