This Is THE BEST Breakfast Place In ALL Of Utah!
I love breakfast, but I usually just make it myself. When we visit friends and family though, sometimes we head out for breakfast. Plus like I've said before I LOVE breakfast for dinner. So, if I can find a great spot that serves breakfast all day, it's a win.
When I cook, I usually do a skillet meal, but when I go out I usually choose French toast. I head to Northern Utah regularly and was looking for a great breakfast spot when I came upon this review from the Deseret News:
Best breakfast in Utah- Sweet Lake Biscuits and Limeade
"Located in Utah County and Salt Lake County, this restaurant has fantastic biscuits. The famous dish here is the Hoss, but I usually go for the Garden Benedict, which is excellent. The hash on the side is interesting — it involves quinoa — I recommend trying it either as a side or in the Garden Hash. This place is great because of all the options. If you’re looking for a place with a concentrated menu that still has variety, I recommend here."
I looked at the menu and there are several things that sound amazing! For instance, a Habanero Hot Chocolate sounds amazing. Loaded Hash with jalapeno, bacon and cheese also sounds great! And Bread Pudding French Toast sounds like heaven in a bowl. You can check out the entire menu here: Sweet Lake Biscuits and Limeade
Local ingredients, make from scratch food and baked daily biscuits. I am definitely gonna have to try it out!. PLUS they serve breakfast ALL DAY! Yay! I'll let you know how amazing it is.
Chili's Bar and Grill locations are closing across the nation. In 2023 the chain shut down 16 different locations in Tennessee, Virginia and California. To me the Chili's location in St George seems busy enough to stay open although I have nothing to gauge that with. In Cedar City the Chili's parking lot seems pretty full when I go by. But is it enough to avoid the closure cuts? I would be worried about my job at this point.
A location that just shut down in South Portland Maine allegedly gave their employees only a couple of days notice before they were out of a job. That is 2 days more of a heads up than I have ever heard when a business decides to shut down.
If sales are down and a lease is up or a remodel needed, I am sure as a business owner you have to take a good hard look at numbers to see if the continued investment is still worth it. Inflation is out of control and rent is insane.
According to MSN, Chili's has closed another three locations this year: Their Fort Wayne, Ind., and St. Joseph, Mo., locations and a location in Charlotte, N.C. And I'm sure there are more to come. If I were working at Chili's right now I would be low key looking for another job. Loyalty just doesn't seem to be a thing anymore. I'm not just picking on Chili's, I have personally know far too many incredible workers that just get laid off without notice.
It seems to me that the workforce used to take care of hard workers. On the other side of the coin, businesses are struggling to even keep workers coming to work let alone on time. So it's not just loyalty that's the problem, reliability is a big problem too. Now it's everyone for themselves.
I hope we keep our local Chili's. I hope we keep the jobs here. If you love Chili's, get in there and tell them you love their food and make sure you tip for great service.
Southern Utah is full of beautiful scenery that is coming alive in the spring! St George is ready to show off some breathtaking views at some of the BEST restaurants in the area.
