Week 10 of 15 in the college football world brought the action with upsets like South Carolina over Texas A & M.

Maybe you fancied both Kansas State and Iowa State falling to Houston and Texas Tech respectively as the hierarchy of the Big 12 now has one undefeated team left in BYU.

Perhaps Utah Tech as 24 point home underdogs handling #9 Central Arkansas, 34-21, was the game that made your week.

Whatever the case may be, for a week in which not a single Utah FBS school (Utah, BYU, Utah State) played, this week still had much to provide for college football fans in the beehive state.

Once again I repeat, Utah Tech beat an FCS top ten team for their first win of the season in an absolute shocker in front of the hometown faithful at Greater Zion Stadium.

Southern Utah lost another heart breaker, a recurring theme for the T-Birds, falling 28-25 at Abilene Christian.

4 of Southern Utah’s 5 losses have been decided by 1, 3, 3 and 10 points.

Weber State returned from a bye week with a visit to Flagstaff after resting up from a 48 point outing against Sacramento State.

Unfortunately the offense wouldn't have an encore performance with the Wildcats being stifled 27-6 by Northern Arizona.

3 games, 3 bye weeks between the six D1 schools here in Utah and only one total win.

Offensive awards should be easy to sort through this week eh?

Here’s how we hand em out:

BEST QB

BEST RB

BEST PASS CATCHER

Reminder: We are naming the top offensive efforts from the following groups at the D1 level in Utah and Utah only.

Lets-a-go.

QUARTERBACK: REGGIE GRAFF, UTAH TECH

Three quarterbacks to choose from this week and only one of the three had a touchdown.

Seems like an easy pick right?

It really was.

Not only did Utah Tech’s Reggie Graff stand alone as the only signal caller to throw a touchdown, he threw two.

And ran for one.

And caught one.

Oh, and won.

Graff got the touchdown triple crown and then some in a dominant performance against a heavily favored Bears team.

It wasn't just the touchdowns however as the efficiency displayed was excellent for the former Dixie Flyer.

26/35 passing for a 74 percent completion percentage for 211 yards and no interceptions is a thing of beauty for the Trailblazers.

Graff ran 24 times and gained 117 yards on the ground, finishing as the teams leading rusher to add to the ground score.

His touchdown grab was off a 2 yard pass from wide receiver, Bryce Parker, on a double reverse pass, a play that let Central Arkansas know that Utah Tech meant business.

Graff did it all, and rightfully deserves it all as your ESPN 97.7 Utah D1 Quarterback of the week.

RUNNING BACK: TARGHEE LAMBSON, SOUTHERN UTAH

Damon Bankston had a stout showing at NAU with 96 yards, but let’s be honest, we just need to start calling this the Targhee Lambson award.

The T-Bird’s star tailback has ran for less than 100 yards only one time in 9 games, and less than 150 yards only two times in 9 games.

That means that Lambson has ran for 150 plus yards 6 times in 9 games this season, an insane number and the best total yardage in the entirety of the FCS at 1,431 yards.

As you can guess Targhee did it again against Abilene Christian, carrying 27 times for 198 net yards on 7.3 yards per carry.

Lambson found the endzone three times, being solely responsible for every SUU touchdown in a comeback attempt that fell just shy.

Lambson did the small stuff with touchdowns from three yards out, 1 yard out and 13 yards out.

He also broke off a 76 yard run in the 3rd which gave the Thunderbird's life.

Lambson isn't just a weekly threat, hes a weekly promise that your defense is going to have a tough time.

Once again, Targhee Lambson is your running back of the week.

PASS CATCHER: ENI FALAYI, UTAH TECH

No one for either SUU or Weber State had more than 5 catches or 50 yards, nor a score to speak of.

So that lands this award right back to the only winning team of the week, the Utah tech Trailblazers and more particularly, Eni Falayi.

Falayi had more than 5 grabs, had more than 50 yards and found the endzone.

The Trailblazers Tight End battered the Bears to the tune of ten grabs for 105 yards and a score.

Eni was responsible for the first touchdown of the game on a six yard snag from Reggie Graff that put UTU up 10-0 near the start of the 2nd.

His performance was extra spectacular considering he matched his season total in grabs and exceeded his receiving yards on the entire year all in a single game, making him a name to watch down the stretch for the squad in St. George.

As the only player with more than 100 receiving yards in the state at the D1 level, and the only one with a score, this choice couldn’t have been any easier.

Eni Falayi is your pass catcher of the week.

3 games, three awards, it really is as simple as that.

Tune in for tomorrow for our defensive hand outs on the week ten action.
