The Sundance Film Festival took some time off as far as gathering in person because of COVID-19.  Fans could still see cool movies through virtual connections but now after 2 years off, it looks like it's time to welcome movie fans back to watch with others on big screens.

Sundance is more than movies as you know.  It's a fun place to star watch or just star-spot.  The flood of movie fans that pour into Park City, Salt Lake City and several surrounding communities give Utah a $135 million boost.  Those same movie fans like to go out for dinner. Most of them love to ski, see a live show and have a few drinks.  If you're going for the movies, here's The Sundance Film Festival 2023 schedule https://festival.sundance.org/program/films/

Festivities are underway now and run through January 29th.  It's got everything for movie fans.  Dramas, documentaries, premieres, Indie films and more.  I found a cool list for you to check out from Wikipedia with a rundown of this year's categories for the competition.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Sundance_Film_Festival

A lot of people head to Park City and Sundance to see Hollywood stars.  Do you have pictures from past years?  We'd love to see them.  What I like about Sundance is that people don't tackle the stars or really get in their face.  Most people will notice a star, maybe take a picture from a few feet away and then just leave them alone.  How cool is that?

A few years ago, someone found an ATM receipt on the ground in Park City during Sundance and posted it online.  There was no name but the balance of the checking account was over $1 million.  I don't know many people with a million dollars and those who do, keep it their savings account.   Not their CHECKING account.  But I guess you'll never know when you might need to write a check for $975,000 so its good to have the funds readily accessible.

Enjoy the movies and the star gazing and be sure to share any fun pictures you take.
