If you were a Black Friday shopper or participated in Cyber Monday, there is something you need to know; returns are going to suck.

This time of year can bring out the best and the worst in people. Some of us try to be a bit more kind while others are holding onto their patience by a thread. Well, unfortunately if you need to return something to UPS, the lines are going to be long.

That means that those whose patience is already scarce will have a challenge ahead of them.

The shipping days between Black Friday and Christmas are short. Only 17 shipping days between the two holidays and that is the shortest it's been since 2019, Supply Chain Drive said.

So, if you’ve stepped into a local UPS store lately, you will find that it is absolute chaos.

Utah, for the sake of Christmas spirit and just being a decent human being, be kind to the UPS workers. They look like they are going through the wringer.

You can expect some fun prices on shipping surcharges for its “peak season” Supply Chain Dive said. This is how the company is looking to make some extra revenue in Q4. However, that UPS store worker is not setting the prices so be nice.

If you can wait on some of your returns, I highly recommend it, or you’ll be stuck in some pretty long lines. If you can’t wait, then remember to breathe in and out as the line moves at a snail's pace.
