The weather is warm in Cedar City which means it’s time for one of Cedar City’s newest music festivals. The ICAMA or Iron County Acoustic Music Association, Music in the Park festival is heading into its fifth year. Among Cedar City’s newest music festivals, it finds itself right at home in a city that calls itself “Festival City”.

ICAMA has been a part of the community for years under the watchful eyes of Jim and Jeanine Howells, Groovacious's Lisa Cretsinger, and Nancy Graff among others. The non-profit funded by small in-person contributions and by grants hosts monthly indoor acoustic concerts October-April. The music ranges from pop to jazz, folk to country, and bluegrass and newgrass. The indoor concerts are usually held at the Community Presbyterian Church at 2279 North Wedgewood.

ICAMA’s 5th Annual Music in the Park will take place Saturday, June 3rd at Cedar City’s Main Street Park. Festivities begin at noon and continue until 8 p.m. Along with live music all day, there will also be food trucks and vendors on site. Some of the bands that will be playing are Dick Earl’s Electric Witness, Coyote Bluegrass, Stone Company, and more. Seating in front of the stage is of the earthen variety so you'll want to bring a chair to sit on to be more comfortable.
