A new wildfire is burning near Pine Valley.
According to Washington County Fire Warden Adam Heyder, the fire is burning just west of Gardner Peak.
It is estimated to be 5 to 10 acres and is human caused.
Southern Utah is being hit with its first wildfire of the month.
Fire officials say the new Cougar Fire started yesterday evening in Beaver County, west of Cedar City.
They estimate the fire to be around 300-acres wide and no casualties have been reported, but a few non-residential buildings are threatened

The fire is burning in Iron and Beaver Counties and is currently being estimated at 50 plus acres.
As of 6pm last night all roads have been reopened.

It is burning near the Dry Sandy Wash in brush and pinion juniper. The fire is currently 15 acres and zero percent contained
