Two Hikers Found Safely

The two hikers reported missing from Garfield County were found safety Monday around 10:45 p.m.

Crews are searching for a couple in their 20's who didn't return at the expected time from a hike in Garfield County Monday.

The man and woman left their car at a trail head Sunday, and were hiking in Escalante on the way back to the car.

Denise Dastrup with Garfield County said the two were experienced hikers.  Ground crews and a helicopter searched the upper Escalante River area Monday night.
