On July 31st, the Cedar City Police Department was dispatched to the area of the 500 South block of Cedarwood Terrace, regarding a welfare check on a 73-year-old woman, Kay Gosewisch, who hasn’t been seen in several months.

Officers were not able to receive any response and didn’t see anything suspicious at that time. On August 18, 2020, the Cedar City Police Department received a call regarding suspicious activity involving Mrs. Gosewisch’s bank account.

Her son, Joshua James Glover, a 32-year-old male, was attempting to withdraw several thousand dollars from her account. It was also reported that he has used the account numerous times.

Officers went back to the home and observed Mrs. Gosewisch’s vehicle in the driveway, but no one would answer the door.

Contact was made with neighbors and they were told that Mrs. Gosewisch was possibly in Washington state or Nevada tending to a family member.

Since that time, Cedar City Police Investigations division has followed up on the suspicious information and found that Joshua James Glover had been using her bank account since April.Investigators and Officers went to the home and attempted contact a third time without success.

Due to the suspicious circumstances they entered the home searching for Mrs. Gosewisch and officers observed items that appeared to be suspicious. Investigators worked with the Iron County Attorney’s Office to draft a search warrant for the property.

During the search of the property, Investigators located buried human remains. The human remains will be sent to the state medical examiner’s office for identification and cause of death.

Currently, police are looking for Joshua James Glover, a 32-year-old white male, 5’10”, 150 pounds, brown hair, and green eyes as a person of interest.

It is believed that he is driving Mrs. Gosewisch’s vehicle, a white 2007 Saturn ion with Utah plate 776UUV and it is listed stolen.

He has warrants for his arrest including possession of a firearm by a restricted person and possession of controlled substances.

He is considered armed and dangerous, so please do not approach him, just call 911.
