Udot reported several crashes this afternoon. The road was dry this morning but around 8am the snow started to stick. The snow came down fast icing up the roadways. There are several road closures as well.

Cedar City school busses were running late. The Iron County School District sent out notices that students could be up to 1/2 hour late coming home due to accidents and road conditions. Semis were sliding right off the roadways making traffic slow down even more and back up for miles.
The Black Ridge is defending it's title as one of the most dangerous stretches of I-15 in Utah. Several slide offs and a large crash are still being cleaned up. There is a large pile up of Semis just north of the Black Ridge on I-15. The crash has not been cleared but the backed up traffic is easing up.
The snow came down quick and the wind just kept blowing the snow back onto the roadways. A BIG 'Thank You' to snow plow workers that have been working since early this morning and look to be out into tonight. We appreciate all the work it takes to try and keep us traveling safely.
Thank you to police, clean up crews and tow truck drivers that are all out cleaning up the wreckage. Please be careful of workers next to the roads. Authorities say to stay clear of icy roads, go slow and stay home if possible. Drive Safe.
