WHOA! Local School SHUTTING DOWN After Tragedy Strikes

Diamond Ranch Academy, a local residential school will be closing it's doors August 14th this year after tragedy struck last Winter.

Taylor Goodridge, a 17 year old girl collapsed at Diamond Ranch Academy on December 20th of last year. Taylor passed away of peritonitis, a treatable abdominal infection. She was experiencing "extreme pain", and was told to "suck it up". She passed away days later.

Today, it was announced by the Department of Health & Human Services that their license renewal was denied. "The licenses are currently in effect until July 31, 2023 and will expire on that date. The office will allow DRA to operate until August 14, 2023 to facilitate compliance with the following Immediately conditions. 1. DRA must discharge all of its clients on or before August 14, 2023." 

Many students that are living at and attending school at Diamond Ranch Academy will have to find new accommodations.
