I talked with Mark at Bicycles Unlimited in St. George. He said they have a lot of close outs that people are interested in. These customers want to take advantage of the prices before any tariffs take effect.
He said they have received information from manufacturers like Cannondale that there could be price increases due to higher priced parts coming from countries with new tariffs. They said These adjustments are planned to take place in May.
Still, Mark said this could all change at any moment. "Things in the past have just changed really quickly too in the last minute all of the sudden," said Mark. "The tariffs are canceled and everything is back to normal."

It seems like there is a lot of speculation and uncertainty to what will happen with tariffs and local prices. Where local business may thrive in the short term is in selling the inventory they have on now before things change.
