A Surprise Skills Can Shake Up The Demon Hierarchy
Surprising Lesson From Ansu
Ansu seems to have a sobering lesson to teach Succubus. Is it enough to have talent? Or do you have to make sure you tow the expected line in the underworld? Dave has written a 3 book fantasy series called “The Demon Curse” that discusses life in the underworld including learning how to move rocks and make curses.

Chapter 10 Experimenting 61
“Things aren’t always as they seem,” he said when Succubus stepped inside. Ansu then turned to the back wall and casually raised his hand. Immediately it looked like the rock was alive. It began to move as if it were stretchy. It seemed more like rough skin than rock. It pulled back into itself, leaving a square opening.

Succubus hadn’t seen any demon manipulate the rock in this way.
Surprised, and with Ansu encouraging him, Succubus stepped forward, and poked his head through. He saw a large room with a soft glow coming from the ceiling. In the center was a delicate table formed from the rock with a place to sit next to it. There was a shelf full of scrolls to one side. Delicate carvings decorated every surface.

He moved into the room and Ansu followed. Looking at the ceiling, Succubus could see the surface was almost clear and he could see the fire glowing through it.
“What is this place?”
Ansu walked inside and stood looking pleased as Succubus gazed around in wonder. The old demon casually waved at the opening, and it closed like it was growing new rock.

“The Demon hierarchy maintains a tight grip on what demonkind learns, how they think,” said Ansu. “But there is so much more.”
Succubus looked back at the tottering demon with his hunched shoulders, looking like he would topple over at any moment. He didn’t feel the same power from him that he had from the ten, but there was something else he hadn’t noticed before. Ansu seemed to blend into this room, like he was part of it.
“They thought you were dangerous because of how you think?” asked Succubus.
