Smoke visible to the west of Washington County

The Bishop Fire in south Rainbow Canyon, about 20 miles south of Caliente, Nev., has grown to approximately 200 acres.

No private property or structures are threatened. Rainbow Canyon Road remains OPEN to the public.

Firefighters are fully suppressing the fire.

Smoke is visible to area residents and motorists on U.S. Highway 93.

The fire was first reported at about 12:20 p.m. The cause is unknown and under investigation.
