Southwest Utah and most of the state is moving from the orange level of restrictions to yellow on Saturday.

St. George Mayor Jon Pike says that businesses can now choose whether or not they want to remain closed or maintain strict safety measures.

Officials urge residents to continue to take safety precautions to prevent the spread of the virus as it still remains a threat.

This decisions comes after southwest Utah was getting mixed signals all week on the request from leaders for the state to move the region into the yellow level.
