U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry was front and center this morning for a blockbuster announcement involving what will be the world's largest clean energy storage.

Before a crowd of more than one-thousand people, Governor Gary Herbert announced that the Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems and Magnum Development Initiative will create one-thousand megawatts of storage in Millard County.

The project is slated to be built next to existing salt dome caverns and the Intermountain Power Plant.

More details about the initiative are expected to come out as the Utah Governor's Energy Summit continues.
