The mother of the four-year-old whose hand was bitten off by the neighbor's dog spoke about the incident in a post on Facebook Tuesday.

Hope Brown, the mother of the young boy shared her version of the story.

On her personal Facebook page, Brown said: "On Sunday our son was involved in a brutal attack where a husky went under our fence and bit [his] hand and then attempted to pull him back under the fence."

Initial reports from the Layton Fire Department suggested that the boy reached through the fence attempting to play with the dogs when the bite and amputation happened.

Brown added in her post that the boy lost his arm from the elbow down.

In addition to losing his arm, Brown added in her post that the boy also had multiple bites and severe bruising on his face and jaw and a black eye.

According to Brown, the young boy has already undergone multiple surgeries and the family is petitioning the public for prayers and support.

She said they are hoping to get a prosthetic from the elbow down.

Brown said despite the "horrific" times they are going through, they have received an amazing outpouring of support from their neighborhood and community.

The Brown family are accepting donations through a Paypal account set up for medical expenses as a result of the injuries. If you would like to donate to support the Brown family go to PayPal.me/littlemansrecovery.
