DABC bracing for down alcohol sales
Utah's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is bracing for bad news when it comes to the amount of alcohol sold during the coronavirus emergency.
DABC leaders fear that state alcohol sales may be down as much as 20-percent when sales numbers for April come out next month.
That's because so many bars and restaurants have been forced to close due to statewide restrictions.
Walk-in traffic at state-owned liquor stores has increased over last year, and sales overall were up five-percent in March.
