Dixie State and St. George Chamber co-host virtual Southern Utah Candidate Forum
ST. GEORGE, Utah — To better inform the community about current political issues, candidates from House District 75, House District 74, and Senate District 29 will participate in the virtual 2020 Southern Utah Candidate Forum co-hosted by Dixie State University’s Institute of Politics and Public Affairs and the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce.
Taking place Monday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m., the forum will include an examination of election-relevant issues that are of general interest to the Southern Utah community. Don Willie, president and CEO of the local Chamber of Commerce, will be moderating the virtual event, which will be available via live stream at facebook.com/dsupolitics. The forum is free and the public is encouraged to tune in.
“This will be an extraordinary event, bringing local legislative candidates in Southern Utah together for one night to discuss the issues that impact our community,” Director of the Institute of Politics and Public Affairs Vince Brown said.
Event participants will include: Representative Walt Brooks, House Candidate Rebecca Sullivan, Representative V. Lowry Snow, House Candidate Kenzie Carter, Senator Don Ipson and Senate Candidate Chuck Goode.
