DJ’s Super Honest Food Review: Lamy’s Mexican Grill
Welcome back to another installment of my "Super Honest Food Reviews." This time, I stopped by a place I've never been before: Lamy's Mexican Grill. They're located at 2235 Santa Clara Drive in Santa Clara, Utah. They're diagonal across the street from Sand Hollow Aquatic Center.
I've heard many GOOD THINGS about Lamy's, so it was about time I gave it a try!
THE MENU:
First things first... Their menu was A LOT! Almost too much, maybe. I didn't know where to begin.
- Dinner Plates
- Salads
- Quesadillas
- Tacos
- Nachos
- Enchiladas
- Sandwiches
- Burritos
- Burrito Bowls
- Kids Meals
- Breakfast Burritos
- AND SO MUCH MORE!
They also have a ton of different selections of meats too!
- Grilled Chicken
- House Chicken
- Lamy's Pork
- Chile Verde
- Grilled Steak
- Birria
- Fish
- Shrimp
Last night, I ordered Grilled Steak Tacos. Three of them.
Inside the taco safe rice, beans, and meat on either flour tortillas or corn tortillas. You also have the choice of salsas, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
On mine, I had flour tortillas, Spanish rice, pinto beans, hot sauce and mild sauce, sour cream, and shredded cheese.
REVIEW:
The tacos were BIG and FULL. Maybe one of the bigger tacos in town. They definitely were NOT "Street Tacos". They did, however, start to fall apart while I was eating them. Luckily, I had a fork too!
The tacos were pretty good. I wasn't ABSOLUTELY amazed by the flavor though. Next time, I think I'll try to Lamy's Pork. I was a little thrown off by the rice and beans INSIDE the tacos. They were more like Open-Face Burritos.
6/10
LIKELIHOOD OF GOING BACK:
7/10
I've heard a lot of great things about Lamy's, so I want to give them another chance. Maybe I'll try their Lamy's Pork Burrito!
Lamy's is open Monday - Saturday, 10am-9pm.
