WOW! Heavy Rainfall Brings Damage To St. George
Heavy and intense rain across St. George earlier this week has brought damage to the area. At least two locations have been closed on the Virgin River North Trail as the flooding waters have washed away parts of the pavement.
One part of the trail that was blown out was on the East Side of town off Riverside Drive in front of Red Rock Ridge Student Housing.
There are "Trail Closed Ahead" signs on both sides of the damage.
The next site that was washed away from flooding water was on the East side of River Road across the river from Summit Athletic Club.
The trails will be closed for the foreseeable future.
Absolutely JAW-DROPPING Photos Of Southern Utah's LIGHTNING Show!
Thursday night, if you live in Southern Utah, there's NO WAY you missed that rain, thunder, and lightning that was lighting up the sky for hours! The lightning was NOT stopping. The rain was pounding. The thunder was BOOMING! It was gorgeous. We only get MAYBE one of these a year. I asked in the Facebook Group "St. George Word Of Mouth" for people to submit photos of the lightning storm that they caught. Here's what was submitted!
