Farmstead Bakery: A Local Gem With Delightful Croissants And More
Utah has great bakeries, but one of the best in the state is Farmstead Bakery.
They have been a part of the Southern Utah community for many years and have introduced a European-style bakery to the area. One thing that really makes them stand out is their involvement with the community. Owners, Chris Herrin and Chris Connors always made it a point to be a part of community events and share their delicious food.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to try it, tomorrow is a great time since it’s national croissant day.
Farmstead offers a variety of options, including beautiful drinks, sandwiches, pizzas, and of course, croissants.
You can have sweet or savory croissants but if I had to recommend one from Farmstead, I’d definitely go with the almond croissant. It’s flakey texture and sweet taste is way too good to try and be described here.
Some other ways to celebrate national croissant day:
- Treat your friends and coworkers to fresh-baked, warm croissants.
- Bake your own croissants.
- Take a baking class to learn to make these delicious, flaky pastries yourself!
- Offer a class. That's right! Pass on the skill to others who want to learn.
“The most consumed food in the world is bread, which has existed at every family table for thousands of years. Here in Utah, bread-making began with the Ute Tribe and Latter-Day Saints; these groups farmed the first crops vital to the survival of their families and the local population. It is with these origins in mind that we have created Farmstead.”—Farmstead Website
