Salt Lake City Police have more than 100 rape suspects on their radar, now that a massive backlog of untested rape-evidence kits has finally been analyzed.

Councilman Kyle Lamalfa demanded to know in 2014 why the 768 kits hadn't been processed.

A suspect was identified from D-N-A in 105 of the cases, and 42 of the men are new to police.

Police Chief Mike Brown said the department's rape-investigation process is now a victim-centric one.
