Subaru Loves The Earth, Now You Can Too with This Electronics Recycle Dropoff

Jump into April with Findlay Subaru as they embrace clean technology practices.  

For the month of April, in honor of Earth Day, Findlay Subaru will help you recycle your old laptops, phones, and tablets in an eco-friendly way. You can drop off the old tech at the St. George dealership and they will be happy to help.  

“So, everybody knows that Findlay Subaru is ultra about the Earth, taking care of trying to limit your carbon footprint,” Findlay Subaru General Manager Curtis Whitehead said. “The exposure when you are out doing what you like to do like camping, they want you to leave it cleaner than you found it. This is one of their pillars of giving back to the environment, to the community, is making sure we're taking care of the earth that hopefully will sustain us for the next million years.” 

Findlay Subaru will have a box labeled for those who want to drop off old tech, which will later be picked up by the local business uBreakiFix, a tech repair shop. They will be able to recycle the used electronics with smart ecological practices.  

“Subaru obviously sells cars, but they brand themselves as not just a car company, but that they do a lot of stuff outside of selling cars. And this is one of those events that they do. It's giving people an opportunity to look out for the earth and the environment,” Whitehead said.  

The car dealership has also recently come out with its Subaru Solterra EV, which is the newest electric vehicle the brand has. They are available for purchase.

The general manager even drives one! 

“The reason I'm an EV owner is because they're really fun to drive and they're cheap. Now, they do cost 'not cheap' as the original expense. But the day-to-day expense is a ton cheaper than a combustion engine,” Whitehead said.
