Suspect arrested in abduction of Hunter High school student

A suspect in the abduction of a Hunter High school student in West Valley City is under arrest after the victim managed to escape.

Unified Police Department Sergeant Melody Gray says it was a very scary situation.

The female victim is related to a West Valley City police officer.

UPD says that the victim was abducted around 2:30 pm on her way home from school but managed to escape.

Suspect 44-year-old Creed Cole has been arrested for the abduction.
