St. George Police charging man arrested for firing gun
St. George police confirm they are issuing charges to a man they arrested on Sunday for allegedly firing a gun in an apartment complex by Dixie State University after an altercation with two males.
Officers say that their investigation revealed that the suspect consumed alcohol and marijuana, presented a firearm to the two males following the altercation and said they should not mess with him.
Witnesses say they heard a gunshot around the suspect's room and police found the firearm, a bullet shell, bullet hole, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his room.
The suspect is being charged with aggravated assault and use of a firearm by a restricted person, discharge of a firearm within city limits and possession of drug paraphernalia.
