Salt Lake City police say all evacuations caused by a suspicious package found near the city's Facilities Service building were lifted after the package was detonated yesterday.

Police closed parts of 300 East and 600 South while investigating the package yesterday after.

The Utah National Guard assisted police with the handling of the package, which was detonated around 4 p.m.

An investigation into the contents and placement of the package is still going on.
