Anti-marijuana activist uses a prop to oppose legal cannabis at Capitol
An anti-marijuana activist in Utah says a prop he used to during a committee hearing at the State Capitol shows how strongly he opposes having legal medical cannabis in Utah.
Walter Plumb created a stir when he pulled a plastic bag from his pocket at a House Health and Human Services Committee hearing yesterday.
He then criticized state lawmakers for loosening regulations, comparing them to Mexican drug cartels.
Plumb was cut off and a UHP trooper was sent into the room to investigate his outburst.
Plumb later revealed he did not actually have a bag of weed.
The bag contained clippings from his lawn.
Plumb admitted after the hearing that it wasn't actually weed that he pulled from his pocket.
