State’s only dispensary complaining about lack of cannabis patients
The state's only operating medical cannabis dispensary is complaining about a lack of patients and blaming the state for the issue.
Dragonfly Wellness opened Monday and had 16 qualified patients to serve.
Tuesday, that dropped to just one qualified person.
The cannabis pharmacy says employees are turning people away at the door because they haven't completed the state's qualifying process for buying cannabis.
Statistics from the state Department of Health show 12-hundred applications for a cannabis purchase card have been submitted, but only 66 have been approved.
