Bill to Bring Lower Cost Prescription Drugs From Canada to Utah Moves Forward
A bill that could bring lower-cost prescription drugs from Canada to Utah is moving forward.
A House committee approved HB 267 from Republican Representative Norm Thurston.
If passed, the Utah Department of Health would seek approval from the FDA and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service to create an importation program.
The legislation will now go to the full House for a vote.
