Body of West Valley City man recovered at Olmstead Diversion Dam

Officials say they've recovered the body of a 21-year-old man who went missing at Olmstead Diversion Dam in Provo.

The Utah County Sheriff's office said Albert John Mapa of West Valley City had recently returned from missionary work in the Kingdom of Tonga.

On Saturday, Mapa jumped off the bridge of the dam into the water, and didn't come up.

His body was found 35 feet downriver from the spot where he went in.
