Burr Trail controversy

There’s a debate in Southern Utah over a seven and a half mile stretch of land.

On Friday the Bureau of Land Management approved Garfield County's request to pave the stretch of road on the Burr Trail.

The decision was not made public until Monday.

The same day the project was started and nearly 2/3 complete by early Tuesday morning.

Conservation groups including the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance and National Parks Conservation Association are outraged.
