BYU Appealing State’s Decision to Decertify BYU Police Department
Brigham Young University is appealing the state's decision Tuesday to decertify the B-Y-U police department.
The Utah Department of Public Safety stated the decision was made after a three-year review.
B-Y-U president Kevin Worthen notified the school of the move in a letter sent February 20th, saying the police department had refused to investigate allegations of misconduct by one of its officers.
