Chapter 49-4 of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association “CVMA” organizes an annual poker run out of Cedar City, Utah to raise money for veteran causes.

The chapter is a 501 C (19) non profit organization made up of combat veterans from all branches of the military who ride motorcycles as a hobby.

The mission of this national organization is “Vets Helping Vets.”

This year, the event will be September 21st 2019 starting at the Cedar City Veterans Park 200 N 200 E in Cedar City.

All proceeds will benefit Iron County Care and Share through a fund called the 49-4 Vets Helping Vets Fund.

The funds will be used for veterans in our local homeless community and other veterans in need.

In conjunction with this event we will be having the Region 8 meeting of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association meeting.

This will consist of chapters from Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.

This will probably bring in anywhere from 100 to 200 people all riding around with the same patch as you see above.

The meeting will be the evening on September 20th and our poker run will be the morning of the 21st of September.

The poker run will be up to Panguitch, over Cedar Breaks and then back down into Cedar City.

This press release is just to give you a heads up since groups of motorcycles that big can raise some question.

Sign ups will be from 9am – 12:00pm at the Veterans park.

The cost is $35 per bike and $15 per extra hand.

The poker run is about 125 miles through desert and high mountain passes over the mountain to Panguitch and on to Panguitch Lake. Continuing to Cedar Breaks National Monument then back to town, making several stops along the way.

The run will end at Mikes Tavern at 90 West Hoover in Cedar City.

Best hand will get 500.00 with worst hand getting 200.00.

The first 50 people to show up for the ride will receive a poker run t-shirt based on size availability.

There will also be a concert from 9pm until 12am at Mikes Tavern featuring the Cedar City band Reality Check, with drawings and the poker run winners being announced.
