Central Utah residents are unhappy with plans to build a large-scale hog farm in Millard County.

County commissioners held a public hearing last night to talk about the proposal, which could bring more than four-thousand pigs to an area about nine miles west of Hinckley.

Residents who are opposed to the farm expressed concern about water contamination, odor and increased traffic caused by the operation.

The county commission will decide next week whether to grant the zoning change needed to allow the farm to open.
