There are 148 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Navajo Nation, Navajo health officials announced Monday.

The Navajo Department of Health and Navajo Area Indian Health Service, in coordination with the Navajo Epidemiology Center also reported there are now five confirmed deaths related to COVID-19.

The Navajo Nation also issued a new Public Health Order to extend the current “Stay at Home Order” and implemented a curfew that requires everyone to stay home from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., seven days a week.
