Utah's farmers are working together to help a Native American community that's been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ron Gibson of the Utah Farm Bureau described what it was like loading donated sheep into waiting trucks at Montezuma Creek in San Juan County yesterday.

Farmers Feeding Utah delivered more than 200 sheep to the Navajo Nation yesterday.  The sheep were purchased in Sanpete County to give to those in need.

One sheep and a bag of flour were given to each family during yesterday's delivery.

Community organizer Rebecca Benally said the delivery of the sheep was emotional for those in the Navajo Nation, since sheep are symbols of hope and prosperity.
