Utah Republican Congressman Chris Stewart says he is not switching congressional districts next year.

Stewart told UtahPolicy.com last weekend that he has been getting some pressure from the state GOP to move to Congressional District One so he could take the place of retiring Congressman Rob Bishop.

Stewart said he's been told that the move could allow him to use his background in the Air Force to protect and promote Hill Air Force Base.

Stewart said he has no plans to move out of his current district, calling the idea to replace Bishop "too cute."
