Covid-19 cases surging in Utah

Utah continues to experience a high volume of new COVID-19 cases as well as a surge in the number of deaths. 

The Utah Department of Health reported just over 12-hundred and 60 new positive tests for the virus Saturday and Sunday, ending the week with more than 45-hundred new cases. 

There were also eight new deaths reported over the weekend. 

That brings the total from last Monday through Sunday to 31 deaths, which is the highest weekly count statewide since the beginning of the pandemic.
