SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (KDXU) - A bill may prevent Utah employers from asking for proof of vaccination from current and future employees.

House Bill 60 was approved by the House Business and Labor Committee Tuesday.

It prohibits companies from asking for proof of vaccination for entry into businesses like grocery stores and movie theaters. It also prevents companies and government agencies from asking employees and job candidates about their vaccination status.

Hospitals, schools and some other corporations would be exempt from the requirements.

The bill now goes for a vote on the House floor.
