A Utah company known for modifying diesel trucks on a reality TV show has been found guilty of violations of U.S. clean air standards.

A U.S. District Court judge found that Diesel Power Gear of Woods Cross had illegally removed pollution control equipment or installed pollution-defeating parts on diesel trucks.

Dr. Brian Moench of Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment called the decision a win for both Utah and those living on the Wasatch Front.

His group sued the company behind the Discovery Channel's "Diesel Brothers" reality show in 2016.

Diesel Power Gear was also found guilty of operating trucks that didn't have emission control equipment.

Diesel Brothers' attorney Cole Cannon says the case revolves around 17 trucks that, in some cases, were never touched by his clients.
