Fallen Utah police officers honored

Utah police officers are honoring those who have died in the line of duty as part of National Police Week.

Draper City Police Sergeant Mike Elkins was among the hundreds of law enforcement officers and members of the public who attended a vigil held by the Utah Fraternal Order of Police in Salt Lake City yesterday.

Three new names have been added to the Law Enforcement Memorial Wall at the State Capitol in the last year.

Brigham City Assistant Police Chief Dennis Vincent, South Salt Lake Officer David Romrell and Provo Master Police Officer Joseph Shinners all died on duty during the last 12 months.
