A former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher is among the four people killed in a plane crash in Utah.

The Utah County Sheriff's Office says 35-year-old Tyson Brummett was piloting the small plane when it crashed near American Fork Canyon Friday.

Gregg Rawlings was hiking with his family when he saw the plane spiral out of view.  Investigators have identified Alex Blackhurst Ruegner, Elaine Blackhurst and Douglas Robinson Blackhurst as the passengers killed in the crash.

Gregg Rawlings knew that the area where the plane went down would present a problem for rescuers.
