Full strength beer now on sale in Utah

Full strength beer is now on sale at Utah grocery and convenience.

Changes to state liquor laws went into effect, clearing the way for five-percent beer.

The new law also creates a new tax for the suds, increasing per barrel tax by 30 cents.

The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control says the tax will generate and extra 350-thousand dollars a year.
